Here’s a little note from Kat:
“Kaya! Hello!
I am THRILLED to be joining the Wanderlust Warriors team! I am a last semester Social Science student, with a specialty in Human Services - which really just means I support young people and families to thrive. My passions lie in leadership development, building community and empowering people to be all that they can be. A big believer in supporting people from a strengths based approach, I like to view the world in a positive lens and help to bring out the best in people.
Working with young people over the years has helped me realise the importance of support and connection in building capability - we can do amazing things, but not alone. I can't wait to meet these incredible young people and work together to make some magic!
You'll normally catch me outdoors or at various bakeries around Perth, latte in hand with a small human and my border collie Marley leading the way!”

“Once I heard about ‘The Wanderlust Age’ and the movement they are creating I knew that I would love to be a part of it! I wish that there was a safe space like this to grow when I was going through school.
I understand how tough it can be growing up. There are so many external influences on young minds in this crazy day and age of social media that you can easily feel like you’re not fitting in or ‘not enough’.
Especially for boys, I always found it tough to open up and express my emotions to others as it wouldn’t be seen as ‘strong’ in the general societies eyes of ‘being a man’.
I’m glad this has changed through my own personal mindset training with my coach. Now through The Wanderlust Warriors Program I hope to help create a safe community for young lads to be able to express themselves and rise to their full potential!”
Darielle Bown - Founder
Darielle (Life Coach, BPsych & Mental Health Consultant) is the founder and content creator for The Wanderlust Warriors Program.
Darielle has created and run the program for the past three years and has loved every minute of it!
Over the years, this program has taken many shapes and forms, however throughout, one thing has remained consistent is the passion and values behind the program. Darielle is so passionate about creating opportunities for young people to feel safe, acknowledged, validated and empowered to learn about themselves.
Even though Darielle is no longer facilitating the workshops, the content (which Darielle will continue to create) and intention behind all of the workshops/retreats is still being created keeping the values and integrity of the program in mind.
Here’s to the future generation of Confident, Self-Aware, Resilient, Empathetic and Emotionally Healthy Warriors!
